Brief Description:


The Works Delivery Co-ordinator will support the Works Delivery Manager's Slabtrack team in the delivery of Slabtrack maintenance and project work within the Central Belt of Scotland.

The role includes ensuring works are delivered to relevant standards, compliance and agreed resource levels predominantly by Framework Contractors.

This role is based in the Glasgow, St Vincent Street office with hybrid-style working arrangements possible within this team.

However, there will be a minimum requirement to attend the office as required by business need and the successful applicant is expected to travel to the office at these required times.


About the role (External):


Key Accountabilities

  • Support the Works Delivery Manager(s) and team to achieve business and functional objectives and meet key performance measures.
  • Support the development of work plans that enables work to be delivered safety, efficiently and compliant to standards.
  • Assist in the identification of and implementation of safety, asset performance, reliability, productivity and efficiency improvement initiatives.
  • Review remits and specifications for deliverability.
  • Support the delivery of maintenance and project work to standards.
  • Manage and coordinate of work, resource specifications, method statements and plans as required.
  • Deliver work in accordance with the agreed programme.
  • Provide information to update systems, databases and records.
  • Support an agreed programme of staff surveillance, work quality checks and asset condition checks.

Job Skills, Experience and Qualifications
Essential

  • Experienced in the management and coordination of projects, worksites and resources
  • Knowledge of relevant standards and procedures
  • Knowledge of other functional disciplines
  • Knowledge of operational railway environment
  • Good interpersonal, influencing, communication and organisation skills
Desirable

  • Understanding of Civils Engineering, particularly reinforced concrete structures
  • Understanding of Rail Infrastructure Engineering (Track)
  • Educated to Level 3 NVQ or equivalent
  • Project Management skills
  • Knowledge of quality, environmental, commercial, and financial procedures
  • Able and willing to drive vehicles as required by business need.
Network Rail adheres to a
structured pay framework, any salary offered will be within the pay range advertised.


Grade:
Band 5


Starting Salary:
£27,000 to £30,000
