Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is now seeking an Intern Architecture, Design & Construction (AD&C) EMEA to join our team in London, United Kingdom.


The Internship:


The Intern AD&C EMEA will support the EMEA AD&C team with a variety of technical and administrative duties in the areas of hotel development, design, and construction.

They will also have exposure to the EMEA Development, Central Operations and Openings, and Legal functions.

They will work with the EMEA AD&C team as well as individually or alongside Interns from other corporate departments on business-critical projects to provide support and resources in line with the strategic priorities of the EMEA division.


Responsibilities:


1. Hotel Architecture and Construction

  • Support the AD&C team on numerous projects with drawing reviews and suggestions
  • Provide administration support to AD&C Managers and help prepare draft Property Improvement Plans for review
  • Provide administrative support to the Head of AD&C to uplift and improve/ amend team documentation

2. Interior Design

  • Perform assignments under the direct supervision of an Architect, Project Manager, or other professionals
  • Participate in the architectural design process, and develop alternative solutions and presentation graphics used to communicate concepts to clients or for Brand approval
  • Under the guidance of AD&C Managers, follow through on the design of development drawings and models, and collaborate with production staff for technical details and completion of construction drawings

3. Room in a Box Project

  • Support the team in compilation of a major internal project to meet with vendors/ suppliers
  • Obtain samples specification sheets
  • Assist the team project manager with the setting out and graphics of the multibrand documentation
  • Coordinate closely with the Sourcing & Procurement team to monetise the project into sponsorship

4. Administration and Cross Functional Working
Assist with the creation, updating, process flow and collection/ storage of necessary documents related to AD&C and/ or Brand Standards both functionally and across other departments

Experience and qualifications:


  • Degree (or studying towards) in Interior Design
  • Fluency in spoken and written English is essential; an additional language would be an advantage
  • Must be a highly capable user of MS Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Conversant with computer assisted drafting (CAD) equipment and other software to prepare project documents

Organisational relationships:

The Intern AD&C EMEA will report to the Regional Manager AD&C - Europe. They will also work closely with the EMEA Development, Central Operations and Openings, and Legal teams.


Compensation and benefits:

- £21,000 gross per annum, prorated for the duration of the internship

  • 25 days of holidays per annum (accrued basis)
