We are a small Accountancy firm based in Long Eaton. Highly regarded by our clients, and offer client-focused personal accountancy and tax service. Our diverse client base includes sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.


Job description

The role will predominantly focus on bookkeeping and reconciliation of accounts, VAT return preparation, payroll duties, and preparing Trial Balances for the final stage of accounts and tax return preparation.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

• Manage the bookkeeping for clients
• Reconciliation of bank and credit card transactions
• Assist in the preparation of VAT returns
• Processing payroll (PAYE and CIS)
• Liaising with HMRC and clients to resolve queries
• General admin tasks to ensure the firm's administration and client files are up to date.

There will be the opportunity to get involved with other areas of accounting, such as preparing individual, partnership and company tax returns, preparing monthly management accounts and preparing sole trader, partnership and limited company accounts.

Minimum qualification:

AAT qualified (Level 3 Minimum), ACCA qualified/part qualified or equivalent.

£12.00-£15.00 per hour

• Accounting: 1 year (preferred)
