We are looking for a passionate People Advisor to join us on our exciting journey as we transform our business from Good to Great.

This is an extremely exciting time for the business and this role will be play a key part in supporting our ambitious growth plans and helping us achieve success

What does the role involve?

You will support the delivery of the people agenda by providing a first-class customer focused HR service across the business.

You will role model our values and be an advocate for change whilst contributing towards a positive and engaging work culture that allows our people to flourish.

You will build effective working relationships providing advice, guidance and coaching on a full range of HR matters ensuring effective communication of best practice.


The team*Youll be working within the People & Culture Team and directly reporting to the People & Culture Business Partner.

You'll also act as a coach/mentor for more junior positions within the department.


Your responsibilities:


  • Provide sound commercial advice to line managers on HR matters in line with Company policies, current legislation and best practice. Work with first line managers to understand their HR needs and requirements, to enable the provision of a proactive HR service.
  • Develop and maintain strong and professional working partnerships with, Leadership, Management and colleagues across the business to promote good and effective employee relations.
  • Undertake coaching and mentoring of line managers to up skill proactive development of people management skills, promoting positive performance management and influencing managers to drive improvements in capability.
  • Support with and conduct where necessary, disciplinary hearings and related formal investigations
  • Compile letters and complete all associated administration in relation to Employee Relation cases, including grievance and disciplinary outcome letters.
  • Work closely with the People & Culture Business Partner to review and update existing HR policies and procedures and communicate new policies where necessary.
  • Escalate any businesscritical issues to the People & Culture Business Partner
  • Provide advice and support to line managers on all forms of absence and ensure effective monitoring of sickness trends and remedial action in accordance with Company policy to facilitate a proactive approach to absence management.
  • Be responsible for the endtoend recruitment process, ensuring compliance with legislation and company policy, adherence to best practice and full optimisation of the company ATS.
  • Deliver induction and onboarding sessions ensuring the best employee experience.
  • Support the People & Culture Business Partner with change programs including restructures /redundancy/ redeployment activity within departments as required.
  • Interpret people data to identify trends and assist with recommendations on how to address challenges and opportunities as well as contribute to HR Board reports and analytics.
  • Support with the projects as required
  • Provide support for companywide People initiatives as directed
  • Identify areas for improvement and streamlining processes
  • Plan and prioritise own workload involving a mixture of regular and adhoc tasks on a daily basis, ensuring appropriate deadlines are met, including the administrative workload associated with these demands and priorities.
  • Ensure all HR knowledge is kept up to date and keep abreast of legislative changes, utilising this knowledge to provide insight and current correct advice to management and employees.
