Job Purpose
As part of this dedicated and highly motivated team you will be required to provide a comfortable and safe conveyance of mental health patients at varying levels of risk and presentation.
To be mindful and responsive to the patient's needs.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Have an awareness of all policies and procedures linked to your job role.
- Prior to commencing all journeys ensure that you are aware of the transfer details and seek guidance from management team / RMN should you be unsure of any particular aspect of the job.
- Maintain responsibility for the collection and return of the escorting staff
- To ensure the road worthiness of the vehicle prior to dispatch using appropriate HC PTS charts / checklists.
- The post holder should establish and maintain a therapeutic relationship that promotes an environment where the patient (and where appropriate carers) feels safe and secure during transit.
- To ensure accurate documentation of journey details and particulars.
- To make sure all documentation relating to each journey is removed from the vehicle and returned to Health Connections PTS office for processing and filing.
- Effectively communicate with Health Connections PTS staff and all those involved in handover process.
- When required and when suitably trained assist all team members with duties related to the safe transfer of patients.
- Participate in a feedback session after every journey and attend team meetings when requested.
- Complete mandatory training relevant to your role to enhance skills and knowledge.
- All of Health Connections PTS' staff are responsible for acting in a professional manner.
- To lead on the general cleanliness of the vehicle and to adhere to Health Connections PTS' infection control policies and procedures at all times.
- To ensure all incidents are reported in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with relevant policies and procedures.

- All applicants are required to have satisfactory enhanced clearance from the Disclosure and Barring Service Check.
Essential Qualifications
- To hold a full and clean UK driving licence.
- Full Training is provided
