  • Purpose:
  • Based in Market Harborough, Deichmann UK, a subsidiary of Deichmann SE is looking to recruit an enthusiastic & motivated individual to join our Finance team as an Accounts Supervisor on a permanent basis.
  • Salary is £30,000.


  • Hours are Monday

  • Friday, either 8.00am 4.30pm or 8.45am 5.15pm.
  • Hybrid working from the office / from home is available once fully trained however you must be available to come into the office on Mondays and Fridays.
  • Reporting to the Finance Manager, the successful applicant will support and assist in all aspects of work undertaken within the Finance & Payroll Department, including, accounts, imports, payroll, and general administration.
  • Key activities:
Completing all activities associated with high volume accounts payable processing

  • Undertaking balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Assisting in the preparation of annual budgets and monthly forecasts
  • Using management accounts to produce reports on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Run cost reports and reconcile spend against budgets, including the investigation and resolution of discrepancies
  • Supervisor of other accounts team members.
  • Responsibility for preparation of compliance returns (e.g. packaging, waste, energy usage and business rates)
  • Personal characteristics:
Educated to A level or equivalent

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in an accounting role, and able to demonstrate knowledge of a variety of accounting tasks.
  • Keen to take on additional responsibility and contribute to the operational efficiency of the wider business.
  • Strong analytical skills and an attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise, plan work & manage time efficiently to meet deadlines
  • Have excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office, intermediate level in Excel
  • An effective communicator both verbal and written
  • A keen learner who can pick up new tasks quickly.
