    The Role of Retail Design Consultant

    Retail Design Consultants play a critical part in the Jordon Group's success. They work closely with clients to take projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery, customer satisfaction, and profitability.

    Your Key Responsibilities

    1. Become an expert in retail design, focusing on petrol forecourts, convenience stores, farm shops, coffee shops, fast food outlets, and other opportunities like office refits and high street retailers.
    2. Develop skills to complete initial site surveys using site audit pro.
    3. Build effective relationships with specialist tradesmen (electricians, plumbers, builders, principal contractors) through excellent communication skills.
    4. Work collaboratively with internal teams and individuals at Jordon Group.
    5. Understand the turnkey shop fit process, including all elements we deliver (shop fronts, joinery, electrical, lighting, plumbing, shelving, counters, back of house, refrigeration, heating & cooling, ventilation).
    6. Write accurate quotes and develop sales skills to effectively 'sell' and seal deals.
    7. Nurture long-term customer relationships through exceptional customer service and people skills.
    8. Demonstrate project management skills to deliver successful projects.
    9. Analyze market research to understand target clients' motivations and key industry drivers.
    10. Hold relevant Health and Safety Training certifications (SPA Passport, Asbestos Awareness, and others).

    What We Look For

    1. CAD training and certification or willingness to undertake training.
    2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, OneDrive/SharePoint).
    3. Familiarity with our systems, such as Epix.
    4. Experience using our in-house CRM (Customer Relationship Management).
    5. A full UK valid driving license.
    6. Willingness to travel frequently and stay overnight as required.
    7. A commercial mindset.
    8. Strong time management skills (general project management).

    Working Arrangements

    In this role, you'll work in a hybrid manner: three to four days per week in the field and one to two days per week from home. Monthly meetings will be held at Head Office in Oldham. You'll work full-time hours, 40 per week, Monday-Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
