The Role:

A precision manufacturer that continues to grow and invest is looking for a buyer to carry out multiple functions.

Mon - Thurs: / Fri:


Main Responsibilities:


  • Raising, issuing and maintaining purchase orders
  • Work closely with all functions to achieve the best delivery, quality and cost.
  • Purchase of material and parts.
  • Supplier management and monitoring of performance.
  • Liaising with suppliers to progress and discuss orders.
  • Monitor and review supplier performance.
  • Collaboration with production to ensure no delays.
  • To source materials and negotiate with suppliers.
  • Build and maintain close relationships with suppliers.
Some manufacturing and previous purchasing experience is required.

  • You will be selfmotivated able to carry out multiple roles
  • Have a high attention to detail and the ability to communicate clearly with members of the team.
  • A manufacturing background with procurement knowledge
  • Adhere to all company policies and instructions
  • Good IT skills

Desirable:


  • Read engineering drawings
  • Experience in a manufacturing business
  • Experience in a purchasing environment.
  • Experience with an ERP/MRP system
