Are you interested in a career as a health care assistant? We are currently looking to recruit exceptional Nursing Assistants who are caring and compassionate with a positive and 'can do' attitude and have an interest in surgical care.

This role will be part time and operates over a 24 hour rotation.

To be responsible for assisting the qualified nurses on shift with the duties outlined below

  • To support the qualified nurse in recognising, treating, and maintaining a person's health, whether it be physical, emotional, physiological or mental
- assist the registered nursing staff in daily care of our patients as identified in their individual care plan by carrying out personal care tasks, completing baseline observations, maintaining an accurate record of care on the electronic care record system, and communicating effectively and respectfully with patients and those important to them

To achieve positive outcomes that give the person a sense of wellbeing, happiness and belonging whilst promoting independence, dignity and choice


The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust consists of a 600 bedded large District General Hospital, which provides its services on the Countess of Chester Health Park, and a 64 bedded Intermediate Care Service at Ellesmere Port Hospital.


The Trust provides services in all of the surgical and medical specialties common to a District General Hospital with some specialist services.

The Trust serves the whole of the local population currently in excess of 250,000 residents which geographically covers populations in England and North Wales.


The Trust strives to continuously improve and sustain the quality of its services for patients, providing care to more than 445,000 patients per year, with almost 4,000 staff working together putting quality and patient safety, at the heart of everything we do.
