Level 1-2 Teaching AssistantRequired from January as soon as possible
This is a part-time role: up to 32.5 hours per week
Monday to Friday, core school hours between 8.30am and 3.45pm
Salary:
Support Staff Grade 4 Point - Grade 5 Point 7 (Meridian Trust)
£20,812 - £22,369 (FTE per year); £15,232- £16,372 (Actual per year)
We currently have a vacancy for a Level 1-2 Teaching Assistant at Histon & Impington Brook Primary School.
You will be working as part of a friendly, flexible and supportive team and the role may involve supporting whole-class teaching, leading group interventions as well as supporting individual pupils with a range of needs.
You will also be expected to assist in the preparation of some lesson resources and classroom displays. Your deployment may vary throughout the year according to the needs of the children. Midday Supervision will also be part of the role and a willingness to undergo first-aid training would be desirable.The opportunity:

- Will possess GCSE English & Maths Grade C (4/5) or above or equivalent
- Experience of supporting children in Key Stages One/Two.
- Possess outstanding communication skills and can work well in a team
- An understanding of child protection and safeguarding issues

Histon & Impington Brook Primary School is a busy and vibrant school where we encourage children to flourish across the curriculum and beyond.
In September 2021, we converted to a through primary school from a junior school and now are delighted to now have a full cohort of Reception and Year 1 children in addition to our year groups from Years 3 -6.
