A new vacancy has arisen for an apprentice to work as part of the team at Blue Willow Nursery, delivering a high standard of care to the children.


About the Role

  • Helping to set up and tidy away activities
  • Taking care of basic needs such as feeding and nappy changing
  • Keeping the nursery environment, equipment and resources clean and tidy at all times with due regard to health, safety and hygiene
  • Contributing to your own personal safety and keeping children safe and secure at all times
  • Contributing to risk assessments and daily checks, and informing the manager of any issues regarding the safety of equipment
  • Advising the nominated safeguarding person of any concerns, preserving confidentiality at all times
  • Adhering to equal opportunities, ensuring each child's individual needs are recognised, respected, and met
  • Acting as a key person to children and their families, liaising with parents/carers about their routines, educational provision and progress, and giving emotional support and advice.

About the Training


Over the course of 15 months, you will study units such as health & safety in a childcare setting, holistic child development, safeguarding in a childcare setting, child development, communication with children, purposeful play and educational programmes, supporting children with special educational needs, collaborative working in early years childcare and wellbeing principles (these modules may differ).


Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship programme, you will achieve a Level 2 qualification and a TQUK Diploma in Early Years.

If you do not hold GCSE Maths & English (or equivalent), these will be delivered alongside the apprenticeship programme.

Wage:
Between £200 - £320 per week, depending on experience

Working hours:
Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week


Full training is provided, uniform is provided and there are events out with the team as well as a performance bonus.
