Nursery Job Setting up and Closing Down / Maintenance Person (Some Heavy lifting)
Times:
Flexable: AM only/ AM and PM
Set up: 5am-7am Monday to Friday
Close Down: 4.30-6pm Mon Tues Thurs Friday ( not Wednesday)
Hours up to 3 hours and half per day.

Early morning cleaner and set up person
Duties and Responsibilities
- Clean Nursery all spaces that the nursery will occupy for the day including toilet and nappy changing areas, daily before setting up.
- Set up nursery large furniture in all rooms and outside garden area. Leave small items within the appropriate room and support their installation.
- Ensuring safe storage of all the equipment within the storage both inside and out
- Keep track of cleaning products and request orders to replenish stock.
- Ensure cleaning products are stored safely and used according to COSSH requirements.
- Shut down Nursery daily on time returning equipment to storage.
- Ensure on exit the spaces used are clean and tidy with support from Nursery staff.
- Assisting in the daytoday repairs and adjustments of the various childcare establishments within the entire company.
- Effectively completing all tasks as assigned by the supervising authority.
- Efficiently managing time and meeting all specified deadlines.
- Ensuring proper billing and invoicing is given to the manager / operations manager for the resources bought.
- Keep an eye on stock. Buying necessary items to complete works as required.
- Interacting with managers / office staff to understand their requirements thoroughly.
- Following all necessary safety and precautionary measures for conducting small repairs carpentry and other such works.
- Coordinating work processes with other departments of the organization.
- Ensuring the availability of all raw materials, tools, spare parts and other equipment for doing repair works.
- And any other tasks requested
Skills and Specifications
- Should have good verbal communication skills and the ability to interact with staff.
- Excellent timekeeper, ability to organise your own work
- Good organisation skills
- High standards of cleanliness
- Understanding of effects of cross contamination
- Would be a team leader desirable
- Would suit experienced cleaner
- Must be able to work on own initiative.
- Ability to multi task and effectively manage time and meet deadlines.
- Sound understanding of using all types of simple repair tools.
- To be organised and to display high standards of safety and cleanliness.
- Must enjoy being with children and people
- Be able to create and follow risk assessments.
Education and Qualifications:
- Should have minimum 1 years of experience of working as a handy person/ cleaner or site supervisor.
- Demonstrate a good command of the English language so as to have clear communication of health and safety regulations and to be able to make simple numerical calculator.
