Remedian IT Solutions are an award-winning business who specialise in providing technological assistance and support to both schools and businesses in Greater Manchester.

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic First Line Support engineer to join our dynamic team. This is a full-time position based on 40 hours per week.

It is well suited to an individual that is looking to advance their career in IT and technology and gain hands-on experience in a thriving and supportive workplace.


Main Responsibilities:


As First Line Support engineer, you will carry out a wide range of day-to-day support activities in a number of school's dealing with customer incidents and service requests, whilst adhering to the company's procedures.

You will be responsible for providing this support to a wide-range of schools across Greater Manchester.


Customer service is extremely important to us here at Remedian IT Solutions, we are looking for First Line Support engineers that can provide high quality customer service whilst contributing to the company's reputation for outstanding customer service.

We are looking for school onsite IT engineerswho are passionate about exceeding our customer's expectations.


Person Specification
We are looking for First Line Support engineers with all levels of IT knowledge, who also have a keen interest in developing technologies including, but not limited to:

  • Office36
  • Desktop Support


  • Windows 10/1

  • Phone Support


Successful First Line Support engineers must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and be able to communicate at both a technical and non-technical level.

They must have strong inter-personal skills.


Desirable Skills

  • It is worth noting that full training will be provided and we do not expect to you have every one of the following. Individuals who are eager to learn should not shy from applying._
  • Experience of using helpdesk or ticketing system software
  • Experience of working with server hardware and / or software
  • I.T. / I.C.T. vocational or further education qualification
  • Windows Servers and Hyper-V
  • Routers and Firewalls
  • Networking and Switches

This role will involve travel around school sites across Greater Manchester so the applicant must be able to transport themselves and equipment for work purposes. The job will require flexibility to provide cover at sites that require onsite presence.

Salary:
£23,000.00-£26,000.00 per year

  • IT support: 1 year (preferred)
  • Customer service: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Driving Licence (required)
