Our client is an innovative, exciting, and ambitious company and they are going through a period of ongoing growth and re-structure, and as such, our client is looking for a Compliance Officer to join their well-established, friendly, and passionate team.

This is a newly created role and will play an important part in our client's next phase of development.


Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities include but are not limited to:

  • Annual process and policy reviews
  • completing internal risk assessments and reporting to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) with suggestions and recommendations for actions
  • Process creation for compliance across the group
  • Assisting The Head of Apprenticeships with prepping for Ofsted inspections and ESFA visits
  • Completion of our client's supplier forms across the business group
  • Assisting with onboarding of staff for reference requests, DBS checks, and ensuring our client's Safer Recruitment Process is followed
  • Policy creation, updates, reviews, and conducting audits of those policies ensuring that the business & staff are complying with these
  • GDPR/Data Protection & Data Security keeping on top of new rules and ensuring our client's compliance, updating policies accordingly, and organising any training required for the staff

Skills & Experience Required:


  • Experience in completing supplier forms using online portals or editable PDF documents
  • Thrives on challenges and works well under pressure
  • Tech savvy and IT proficient
  • Must be able to use Word and Excel to a high level
  • Commercially aware, handson, analytical, and logical
  • Working at all times lawfully and in accordance with predefined regulatory, compliance, and financial requirements, e.g. Data Protection, Health, and Safety, Financial Conduct Authority Standards
  • Good working knowledge of GDPR / Data Protection and legal requirements
  • Experience in creating and maintaining policy documents using a version control system
  • Must be extremely organised, able to prioritise workloads to meet tight deadlines
  • Good working knowledge of mandatory and statutory training required for businesses
  • Data / IT Security knowledge and understanding are extremely advantageous
  • Previous experience working with a training provider advantageous
  • Must have excellent written & verbal skills and be confident in communicating with all levels of clients and stakeholders

Sidenote
All new staff will be expected to complete safeguarding training and agree to a DBS check following any offer of employment
