Yellow Door is an amazing charity that is quite literally changing lives for the better in the Southampton area, with a team of around 100 staff and volunteers, working together to prevent and respond to domestic and sexual abuse.

We provide a diverse and innovative range of services to local people of all ages and genders.


The STAR project at Yellow Door delivers award-winning Prevention and Education workshops to children and young people in schools, colleges, universities, and other youth settings.

Last year, we engaged over 8,000 young individuals, sparking conversations about healthy relationships and providing essential support and information.


This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who is a confident communicator with a passion for empowering young people.

You will possess the creativity and drive to design and deliver engaging programmes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver ageappropriate RSE programs for youth and adults in educational settings
  • Lead targeted projects, collaborating with the STAR Project Manager to engage more men and boys
  • Raise awareness of abuse issues and facilitate the development of healthy relationships
  • Upskill partner agencies through training and information delivery
  • Stay updated on trends to ensure session content remains relevant
  • Establish strong community links and collect feedback data
  • Address safeguarding concerns in accordance with policy
  • Execute a targeted outreach plan to raise awareness
  • Maintain diverse community connections in line with funding requirements
  • Have strong experience working with children/young people
  • Be selfmotivated and able to work autonomously
  • Be a confident and effective communicator
  • Hold a full driving license and have access to own transport

- £24,586 - £29,465 FTE

  • 37.5 hours pw (fulltime, worked over 5 days Monday to Friday)
