We are looking for an experienced, full time
Access Coordinator to join us at this exciting juncture of our organisation.

This role will play a pivotal part in our development of our Access provision.


The Role - Access Coordinator


The role of the Access Coordinator is to work as part of the Access and Compliance Team of Aim Group to support providers in the delivery, development, review and assessment of Access to HE Diplomas and AVA accreditation processes.

They will also contribute to the continual improvement of AVA systems and processes and compliance with external regulatory requirements.


Key activities for this role include:
Contribute to the review and assessment of AVA processes and internal preparations for QAA re-licensing and audit.

Contribute to regulatory returns to support the Access Manager.

Accurately report incidents of malpractice to the Compliance Director and support investigations as required.

Support maladministration investigations as and when required.


Carry out spot checks and complete appropriate reports and actions plans as and when required as per the AIM spot checking strategy.

Provide support across the directorate during periods of annual leave.


Support all Access to HE meetings including room bookings, calendar coordination, creating agendas, gathering appropriate information, providing support and minute taking.


Support with the development and review of AVA Diplomas and units as advised by the Diploma Development and Review Group.

Co-ordinate an annual programme of validation and recognition panels.

Coordinate the evidence of the validation and recognition process to be provided to ACC for approval.

Support with implementation of procedures for making amendments to Access to HE Diplomas, ensuring compliance with QAA requirements.

Coordinate the moderation model annually for allocated providers.

Process moderation reports received from Access moderators and complete assessment monitoring events on Quartz within documented SLAs.


Support the coordination and development of training and standardisation materials and activities for Moderators including the collation and preparation of training materials and exemplars.

Support the design and development of support guides and templates for moderators

Support the monitoring of moderator performance and provide feedback to moderators on their reports where appropriate. Report any concerns to the Access Manager and Access Lead.

Support with the tracking and approval of moderator invoices.

Support the moderator sampling process.

Support and monitor the use and completion of GradeTraka by providers

Report any concerns relating to the implementation of the AVA moderation model to the Access Manager.

Support the coordination and completion of FABs.

Support the annual calendar of submissions by providers e.g., Centre Annual Review Report

Contribute to the production of an annual calendar of events for providers.

Support the organisation of Access Coordinator Forums

Coordinate the Access to HE inbox to ensure timely and accurate responses to enquiries.


Provide accurate advice and support related to Access to HE processes at AIM Group to ensure learners/providers are able to deliver and award AIM Group qualifications.

Ensure Quartz events are added and updated where appropriate for centre intelligence.

Support with external communications for centres.

Support with the organisation of annual standardisation events for each diploma area and receive, monitor and publish reports.

Coordinate and develop training materials for centres regarding grading, internal moderation and assessment.


The minimum requirements for this role are;

Essential
Qualified to level 5 or above or significant relevant experience

Knowledge of Access to Higher Education provision

An understanding of cross sector post 16 education and lifelong learning

Knowledge of Awarding Body and regulatory structures

Ability to meet challenging business targets

Knowledge of quality assurance processes and procedure

Experience of writing high quality reports


Desirable:

Knowledge of current education legislation

Knowledge of credit based qualifications and product development

Experience of networking with key stakeholders

Knowledge of current funding legislation


The following skills and experience are also required:
Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills

Ability to build and maintain relationships with a range of organisations and individuals

Ability to initiate and maintain working relationships

High level of motivation and enthusiasm
