Position Summary

As a CNC Turner, you will play a pivotal role in our manufacturing process by operating and programming CNC turning machines.

Your expertise in machining techniques and attention to detail will be essential in producing high-quality parts to meet customer specifications.

While experience programming using conversational controls (Fanuc/Siemens) is essential, we value technical proficiency, a strong work ethic, and the ability to adapt to new technologies.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC turning machines to produce precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and instructions to determine machine setup and programming requirements.
Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and materials for each job.
Program and adjust machine settings to optimize performance and ensure accuracy.
Assist in the quotation of jobs if and when required.
Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure machines operate at peak efficiency.
Perform quality control inspections to verify part dimensions and adherence to specifications.
Collaborate with team members to identify process improvements and enhance production efficiency.
Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a CNC Machinist, specializing in turning operations.
Proficiency in operating and programming CNC machines (e.g., Haas, Fanuc, Siemens Controls).
Strong knowledge of machining techniques, cutting tools, and materials.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
Experience with conversational programming (Fanuc/Siemens/Mazatrol).
Experience with oil & gas parts (preferred but not required).
Solid understanding of measurement instruments and quality control procedures.
Detailoriented with excellent problemsolving and analytical skills.
Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
