Position Summary


As a CNC Turner, you will play a pivotal role in our manufacturing process by operating and programming CNC turning machines.

Your expertise in machining techniques and attention to detail will be essential in producing high-quality parts to meet customer specifications.

While experience programming using conversational controls (Fanuc/Siemens) is essential, we value technical proficiency, a strong work ethic, and the ability to adapt to new technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC turning machines to produce precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and instructions to determine machine setup and programming requirements.
  • Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and materials for each job.
  • Program and adjust machine settings to optimize performance and ensure accuracy.
  • Assist in the quotation of jobs if and when required.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure machines operate at peak efficiency.
  • Perform quality control inspections to verify part dimensions and adherence to specifications.
  • Collaborate with team members to identify process improvements and enhance production efficiency.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a CNC Machinist, specializing in turning operations.
  • Proficiency in operating and programming CNC machines (e.g., Haas, Fanuc, Siemens Controls).
  • Strong knowledge of machining techniques, cutting tools, and materials.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Experience with conversational programming (Fanuc/Siemens/Mazatrol).
  • Experience with oil & gas parts (preferred but not required).
  • Solid understanding of measurement instruments and quality control procedures.
  • Detailoriented with excellent problemsolving and analytical skills.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
