We have an exciting opportunity for a Divisional Governance Coordinator within the Surgery Division to cover maternity leave for a period of 12 months.

The role will provide comprehensive administration support to the Divisional Governance Manager and Head of Nursing to improve the safety of our healthcare services.


We are looking for an organised and analytical individual to join our Divisional Governance Team to coordinate the complaints process within the Division, support the Division with aspects of regulatory compliance, and to assist with the identification of learning from all aspects of governance to inform quality improvement for our services.


As a member of the Divisional Governance Team, you will undertake administrative and coordination tasks to support the governance agenda within the Surgery Division.

The role will be fundamental in the management of complaints and support managers to complete fair and robust investigations.


The role will support the division to maintain compliance with regulations, timeframes and deadlines for aspects of governance including the collection of evidence for action plans.


The role will act as a point of contact for staff both with the division but other areas within the Trust, providing expert advice and guidance on complaints management, governance and compliance.

  • To support and assist the Division in promoting the understanding of, and compliance with, quality and corporate governance standards.
  • To support managers and staff in the coordination of complaints investigations, risk register, gathering of information and compiling reports relating to regulatory compliance and governance.
  • To provide effective administration support to the Divisional Governance Manager and Head of Nursing. To work collaboratively to deliver the governance agenda and regulatory compliance.
  • To take an active role in the triangulation of data from claims, complaints and incident reporting in order to identify areas of risk. Produce complex data analysis and create, develop and validate reports and processes, as required, by the Divisional teams.
  • To provide administrative support to the governance processes within the Surgical Division.
  • Undertake minute taking as required.
  • To review and triage complaints, identify the issues for investigation and to request statements from the key staff involved including medical, nursing and administrative staff.
  • To formulate, develop and review the reporting arrangements for complaints within the Division to ensure that a regular update reports regarding complaints management / themes and lessons learnt with recommendations is presented at Divisional meetings.
  • To be the point of contact between the Division and the corporate teams, care quality and operations teams, and disseminate requests for divisional response.
