GCU are looking for Cold Lay Reinstatement Gangs for the Newcastle area.


The restatement would be after works carried out by our civils gangs related to the installation of a new fibre network.


Job Role Responsibilities:

  • Pick up materials for resurfacing of footpaths and highways to the required specification.
  • Complete allocated work(s) and work records within the planned timescales and to quality levels detailed in the work packs.
  • Remove spoil and waste materials and dispose of as instructed.
  • Engage with the planning/management team as works progress to allow for sign off and completion of works.
  • Ensure the safety of the gang and the public by setting up safety systems as detailed in the works packs.
  • Record work completed, using a company device, at each stage of the task from site arrival through to departure.
  • Identify and report all defects or damage before leaving the work site.

Skills and Qualifications Required:

  • Streetworks Card
  • Reinstatement Experience in Cold Lay, Hot Lay and Multifunctional Lay
  • CSCS Card (preferable)
  • Driving licence
There is longevity of work for gangs that can maintain quality standards.
