Specialist Support Worker Bank Staff required to join a small team in Lydney Gloucestershire to cover annual leave and sickness.

The position is to support a gentleman who has spinal injuries and is wheelchair dependent. Duties will include; personal care, catheter care, supporting our client in activities of daily living and accessing the community.

Hours of work are:
08:30-10:30

08:30-13:00

17:00-21:45 or 19:00-21:45 or 19:00-00:00 depending on the need of the client.

Week days and weekends to be covered.

The client is assisted by a clinical team who oversee his rehabilitation and physiotherapy,
you will be required to support him to continue with his daily exercises and therapy.
Applicants should be physically fit, enthusiastic, patient, motivated, flexible and have a
good sense of humour.
Previous Support worker experience is essential and applicants with spinal injury
experience will be especially well suited to this position.

At Breakthrough, it's not about making one brief care support visit after another; it's about delivering consistent care to an individual.

Our carers and rehab assistants work with one service user either on a 1-1 or 2-1 basis, giving them the opportunity to build a solid relationship with their client and play an active role in their rehabilitation or support package.
