We are looking for an seasoned Finance Business Partner to support National Grid's new Strategic Infrastructure Business Unit.


You'll join a team of Finance Business Partners who work hand in hand with Directors of National Grid's Strategic Infrastructure business, responsible for delivering the biggest upgrade the National Grid has seen in decades.

These projects will together enable 50 Gigawatts of offshore wind to deliver substantial decarbonisation of our energy system.

This is a new business unit which presents an exciting opportunity to build new solutions and create new ways of working.


Jointly our team works across the SI business to ensure leaders understand their financial performance in the context of the regulatory framework and the commitments we have made to our shareholders.

We are accountable for ensuring the business's plans are ambitious and deliverable.

We support the business to find opportunities to embed efficiencies that drive value for shareholders and consumers, and we provide insight and challenge where we see risks to performance.

Critical to success will be a high-quality forecast that finds innovative ways to report and manage material uncertainty and risk across a complex portfolio with tight deliver schedules.


About You:

In this case, you're a Qualified Accountant - ACA, ACCA, CIMA who has experience in working with businesses to support financial performance and can demonstrate what you did to make a difference in those roles.

You build strong working relationships, have great judgement and are comfortable making decisions even when all the information may not be available.

You're able to prioritise where to focus time and effort on areas that will make the most difference to financial performance.

You're comfortable working through ambiguity and can distil lots of information into impactful messages, that supports the business in having the right conversations about their performance.


What You'll Get:

Up to £80k per annum - dependent on experience.
