Full time - 37.5hrs a week ( Monday to Friday on a weekly rotating shift pattern of 08:00 - 16:30, 09:00 - 17:30 and 11:30 - 20:00)**

Role Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Radiology Administration Supervisor at the Cromwell Hospital.

This role will provide support for all patient pathways which are seen within radiology, therefore help to ensure bookings and reporting turnaround time are to target.

You will work in a busy patient centred department as part of the administration team with good peer group support and with appropriate training provided as necessary.


What you'll do:


  • To lead the Radiology Admin team, ensuring an efficient and highquality service to patients and doctors
  • Undertake the daytoday responsibilities of the Radiology Admin team. To deal with all diagnostic requests, ensuring that imaging procedures are booked and scheduled within times targets. To liaise directly with the patient regarding their scheduled appointment, providing patient information, reassurance and managing patient expectations around the diagnostic radiology experience
  • To support service improvement initiatives within the Hospital and across the Bupa clinics.
  • To work closely with the Diagnostic Admin Manager and relevant modality leads to take proactive measures to ensure that patients' images reports are always in time for their scheduled clinic appointment and comply with our 24hrs reporting turnaround
  • To actively ensure the ongoing delivery of a quality service through efficient deployment of available resources
  • To monitor the effectiveness of the Radiology Admin team service provision using key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Undertake duties in accordance with departmental procedures, and carry out any further duties that may be required as a result of change in practice / process.
  • To assist the DI Admin Manager in managing front line service and ensure all enquiries regarding the service are promptly responded to and/or redirected to the appropriate departments.
  • To assist DI Admin Manager to coordinate covers for the Consultant Radiologists' annual leave, Saturdays, and Interventional Radiology on call sessions throughout the year, reviewing the business impact and highlighting any anticipated issues in a timely manner
