Job description

  • Student and Campus Life (SCL) at Queen's University Belfast, is currently seeking to appoint to the post of Representation Support Officer.
  • The post holder will form part of a team responsible for delivering efficient and effective provision of democratic and representational activity on behalf of the Students' Union and elected student representatives. Working alongside staff colleagues and elected student officers, the post holder will assist in the development and delivery of activities that increases active engagement in the democratic and representational work of the Students' Union, particularly targeting those from underrepresented student groups.
  • Minimum of three years' relevant experience in a paid or voluntary capacity, in a range of environments including campaigning/political/public affairs/higher education settings and experience working directly with students.
  • Experience of planning and organising training/induction sessions.
  • Experience of working with students or young persons in a onetoone capacity.
  • Previous relevant administration experience.
  • Demonstrable experience of providing excellent customer service and maintaining a confidential and professional approach in all areas of work.
