Probationary Period:3 months

Hours of work:37.5 hours / week, start times each day to be agreed


My Key Roles & Responsibilities in this position are:

  • Update Oatley's in-house Trading/CRM system with enquiries, customer quotes, costing sheets, deal confirmations & notes
  • Produce & issue daily / weekly reports
  • Obtain licenses and other compliance documents from processing & delivery sites for new sites and also from existing sites where documentation is expiring.
  • Review open enquiries and manage with relevant trading staff to close off unsuccessful enquiries
  • Obtain transport & shipping quotes from new & existing providers, update database records and provide feedback to logistics providers on rates.
  • Work with relevant trading staff and suppliers to plan, book and record sampling & inspection visits to ensure compliance.
  • Issue offers of potential loads to customers and follow up to get pricing feedback
  • Coordinate actions around any claims or other commercial or quality issue
  • Provide assistance to Trading Manager & Commodity Trader, including covering during leave and other absences.
  • Provide assistance to Office Manager & Supply Coordinator, including covering during leave and other absences.

I will achieve the following results in this position:

  • Reports generated are accurate & issued on time.
  • All relevant interactions with customers & suppliers are recorded in the inhouse Trading/CRM system
  • Compliance documents are up to date
  • Open enquiries kept to a minimum
  • Weekly / Monthly pricing is sent out accurately & on time
  • Pending inspections kept to a minimum, and reports from completed inspections returned to the office in a timely manner
  • Claims are resolved promptly, and claims reports are kept up to date
  • Transport prices are obtained promptly, and database is kept up to date.

My Key Performance Indicators are:


  • Number of open enquiries at month cutoff
  • Number of pending Packaging Content Inspection Records still open 7 days after inspection date
  • Number of Open Claims

I already have or will quickly develop the following knowledge, skills and abilities needed for this position:

  • IT knowledge & skills - sufficient to use Oatley's in-house Trading/CRM system
  • Product knowledge - different recyclable materials, grades and qualities
  • Knowledge of logistics and how this works within Oatley
  • Ability to multitask
  • Numerical ability to process commercial information and analyse costings
  • Communication skills - both within Oatley and externally with suppliers & customers

Salary:
£25,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
