Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Kidderminster, Worcestershire

Monday - Friday (14:00-22:30)

£35,000
We are looking for a motivated Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a market leading manufacturer in their respective field.

Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, you will be a key member in ensuring the production facility is kept running.

Youwill be involved in all aspects of planned and reactive maintenance within their operation.

With progressive training and development this company is always looking to enhance its employees and their skill sets, whilst additionally being supported by a welcomingteam of engineers.

Role Description

  • The ability to work on required specific designated projects assigned by the Maintenance Manager/Engineering Team Leader
  • Support and maintain the highest level of reactive response
  • Time to unplanned breakdowns in line with departmental KPI
  • Working with the site HSE Advisor to ensure all Health and Safety documentation is completed in line with policy and legislation
  • Updating and using the Mango Maintenance System as part of supporting data capture and compliance
  • Carry out as required all mandatory Maintenance Health and Safety inspections that are assigned
  • Report as required any Health and Safety issues through the appropriate communication channels
  • Ensure the Maintenance Department housekeeping is maintained to the highest 5S standard
  • Actively participate in and support process improvement initiatives
  • Attend as required Training courses identified to enhance job role

Skills and Qualifications

  • Appropriate Mechanical Engineering Qualification or minimum of two years relevant operational experience in an engineering environment
  • MiG Welding, Fabrication, FLT, Hydraulic and Pneumatic
  • Reading Drawings, Fault Finding and corrective action
  • Understanding and experience in Tool setting
  • Ability to work within a team as well as being able to work unsupervised
  • Able to use own initiative, make effective decisions and judgments when required
  • Able to communicate with internal departments at all levels
  • Confident in delivery of Maintenance excellence and performance
  • Able to Identify and assess opportunities for Operational Improvement
