About the Role:


Reporting into the Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse Quality Control Facilitator will be responsible for the day-to-day quality control in the warehouse, from goods receipt to despatch.

The role also includes the timely processing of returns and the management of inbound and outbound samples


The role holder will have to have an eye for detail and be able to use their judgement in order to assure the quality of materials passing through the warehouse.

The role holder will also have to be tenacious, highly organized and competent in order to resolve materials issues related to customer service in a timely manner and to the satisfaction of the customer.

This role also includes acting as a back-up for the Warehouse Manager


Responsibilities

The successful client will be primarily responsible for the following key areas:

1. Quality Control Checks

  • Check and document goods received according to the goodsin quality control procedure
  • Check and document outbound goods according to outbound quality control procedure
  • Liaise with Purchasing & Technical on supplier stock issues eg. faulty stock

2. Returns Processing

  • Check stock returns and allocate according to sale ability as clearance waste.
  • Repack returned stock if saleable
  • Put all returns away correctly away in the correct BIN locations
  • Monitor returned/damaged goods for recurring issues

3. Samples Administration

  • Take ownership of any supplier samples from goods in and Liaise with Purchasing
  • Pick all samples orders for Earls Barton & Sales requirements
  • Assist with clearance products, making sure correct amount on OGL and prepare goods and/or samples ready for delivery
  • Cut and store supplier samples

4. General Warehouse Duties

  • Keep good housekeeping and cleanliness in warehouse aisles
  • Maintain accurate bin location labels on racking
  • Label and put profiles away in correct locations
  • Complete stock checks/ pack sizes in the warehouse for sales staff/ Purchasing
  • Support daily stock cycle counting
  • Support warehouse team when short staffed/busy
  • Deputise for Warehouse Manager
  • Site health and safety procedures are adhered too. Concerns and near misses must be reported to line manager

Skills & Experience:


  • Experience in warehouse operations
  • Accurate administration skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good IT skills, including a good working knowledge of Excel

£20,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
