Are you an ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant looking for your next step up into a Finance Manager/Controller position with an entrepreneurial, acquisitive and fast growing SME?

This is a rare and exceptional opportunity for an ambitious and commercially astute individual, to work directly under the MD and Board of Directors of this Harrogate based SME in a newly created role

The business is in a period of growth, and as a result are now looking to hire a high calibre Head of Finance to manage a small team but also report directly to the MD and the board.

The MD requires up to date financial reporting and analysis, management accounts production and an influence in decision making functions and strategy.

The company is moving to brand new offices in Harrogate, the role will be a hybrid working model with only 2-3 days per week requirement to be office based, we are happy to be flexible with remote and office working patterns.

The initial key duties of this role will include: Production of monthly Management Accounts and further analysis for the Directors.

• Assist with the production of half year and year end statutory financial statements.
• Support the MD with analysis, reporting and influencing key business decisions.
• Regular reviewing of key financial controls.
• Budgeting, forecasting and reconciliation of key financial measures on a monthly basis.
• Support with ad hox projects and analysis.
• Working on process and reporting improvements with the MD.
• Business partnering internally and with external clients.
• Production of monthly Management Accounts and further account analysis for the Directors.
• Be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified (QBE will also be considered)

• Have a minimum of 2 years' experience within a relevant management accounts/business partnering role
