Service Supervisor Job Advert
This is an exciting opportunity for a determined self-motivated operational and commercially minded individual. The successful applicant will support and supervise the Canterbury Environmental Company's waste collection, street cleansing and ancillary service operations. The role requires the management and motivation of multi-disciplined staff, including drivers and operatives.


Canterbury Environment Company is a new local authority trading company wholly owned by Canterbury City Council to deliver Waste Collection and Street Cleansing services within the Canterbury district.

The establishment of Canterbury Environment Company marks a new chapter for the City Council, with the service being provided by an outsourced, privately-owned, company for over the past two decades.


Some of your key responsibilities will generally include managing a team of frontline operational staff with a workforce in excess of 140 employees, you should possess proven operational supervisory management experience with the ability and passion to drive the business forward to develop new opportunities and meet or exceed KPI targets in line with contract conditions.

Nestled in the Garden of England in East Kent, it covers the bustling city of Canterbury with its World Heritage Sites and three universities, the popular coastal towns of Herne Bay and Whitstable as well as 24 beautiful villages.
