Job Summary
The Risk Management Officer is an essential part of the team and delivers on the Health and Safety needs of our client sites and Warwick offices.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Carry out Fire, Health and Safety Risk Assessments on client sites and Warwick Offices and complete reports on iAuditor within set timeframes
- Assist in reviewing the asbestos, water hygiene, engineering, health and safety and fire risk reports and any other compliance reports produced by the department or external companies
- Assist in managing inhouse system Health and Safety Notifications for Managed Tasks and Action Items
- Proactively promote Health, Safety and Environment throughout the company
- Support the health and safety manager on all health and safety aspects
- Work alongside Risk Manager to provide advice to internal staff on health and safety matters e.g. Incident reporting, positive intervention reporting
- In the event of an accident, be part of the Investigation Team and ensure all statutory reporting requirements are fulfilled (RIDDOR)
- Assist Risk Manager to follow up and ensure close out of accidents that have been investigated, assisting with completion of reports
- Assist in managing the company's Risk and Legislation Registers
- Assist in preparing for external audits
- Attend regular health and safety meeting reporting any findings or suggestions that are relevant to the meeting
- Assist in reviewing the asbestos, water hygiene, engineering, health and safety and fire risk reports and any other compliance reports produced by the department or external companies
- To continue with personal CPD (Career Path Development) and attends relevant training courses commensurate to the role
- To undertake any other duties as required by Senior Management, commensurate with the grade of the post
- To be flexible to work outside normal office hours to attend sites, meetings and events. Also, to work away from home across the country as and when work commitments require.
- To maintain 48hour communications response with all clients, leaseholders, contractors and other customers of Warwick Estates as well as internal staff
- To respond to telephone calls and messages within 24 hours of returning to the office
- To maintain polite and professional communications within all correspondence whether verbal or written
Qualifications & Skills
Desired
- IOSH Managing Safely
- NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety
- Construction (Design Management) Regulations 201
- Experience in the Residential Property Management Industry
Special Requirements
Working hours are 37 hours per week Monday to Friday. The position is based in the office with an element of working from home.
