Akton are recruiting on behalf of a client who are looking for an Export and UK Sales Estimator for their East Haddon office in Northamptonshire.

Our client is one of the UK's leading manufacturers of beautiful garden and architectural cast stone designs.

As a small, Northamptonshire-based company, you may not have heard of them, but chances are you will have seen their stunning designs gracing thelandscapes of National Trust properties, parks and stately homes in the UK, or even abroad.

Their architectural stonework can be found on private residences, foreign embassies abroad, large developments and many famous buildings.

They manufacture all of theircast stonework from their factories in the UK and Colorado, USA, and even export their designs internationally as far afield as Australia.

It's no surprise that they are considered to be the best in the business

For 50 years, their highly experienced, friendly team has been passionately project managing and producing their extensive range of the highest-quality cast stone designs on the market.

From small garden planters, water features and decorative statuary,to landscaping components, façade and structurally reinforced construction stonework.

Role and Responsibilities

Based at their stunning Grade II listed head office and Show Gardens in Northamptonshire, an exciting opportunity has arisen to join their busy Building and Construction team.

The Export and UK Sales Estimator role will be responsible for providing many of the leading luxury housing developers and most discerning private clients, in the UK and abroad, with the highest quality architectural and ornamental cast stone products.

Theysupport their clients in a range of projects, ranging from small landscaping schemes to one-off bespoke multi-million-pound residential developments.

The role will involve producing project quotations, estimated from technical drawing take-offs, producingAutoCAD details specific to products and managing each project from enquiry through to after-sales.

We are looking for a well organised individual with excellent communication skills whose enthusiasm for sales and customer service will serve to nurture ongoing relationships with some of their most valued customers and international distributors.

Some occasional international travel will be required.

Requirements:

About you

This is a varied role and ideally, our client would like you to have most or all of the following:

Experience in technical sales estimating. Familiarity with architectural and construction details is essential as you will be liaising with architects and contractors on a daily basis.
Knowledge of CAD software is preferred as you will be producing component drawings for customer approval.
Strong project management experience.
Relationship management and development skills.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and multitasking skills
