Active Prospects are recruiting for a
Director of Property to join our team at our Head Office in Reigate.
Our award-winning organisation supports people with learning disabilities, mental health and complex needs in both residential and supported living services in Surrey and Sussex.
As part of the Executive Management Team, the role of
Director of Property will be drawing up and delivering the Property Development Strategy for Active Prospects and will lead on Health and Safety for the organisation and ensure properties meet all relevant regulatory and statutory regulations.
You will be working on a number of developments, extensions, and refurbishment projects by liaising with architects, contractors and suppliers to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
You will be working directly with Commissioners and funders on the development and delivery of new and refurbishing housing stock.
Other responsibilities will include:
- To prepare tender documentation and manage the tender process in line with Financial Regulations
- To ensure all projects incorporate advancements in building design, disability accessibility and assistive technology
- Supporting the Maintenance Team with programmes of planned/cyclical works and KPIs reporting
- To lead the Health and Safety Policy, approaches and compliance throughout the organisation and to provide an annual health and safety report to Board.
Successful applicants for this role will require extensive property development delivery and appraisal experience with experience of reporting directly to Board or Senior Committee Level.
You must have experience of leading the development and delivery of Property Development Strategy as well as experience with working directly with Commissioners and Funders.
Experience and knowledge of Health and Safety and planning legislation is essential.
As a Director of Property and Safety, you will receive a salary between £75,000 - £80,000 per annum dependent on experience, with 28 annual leave (plus bank holidays), access to Blue Light Card, Employee Assistance Programme, enhanced Maternity, Paternity and Adoption Pay, Eye Voucher Scheme, Occupational Sick Pay and more.
