Futures are working with a market leading manufacturer, of precesion engineered components who seek to appoint a Production Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer.
As Production Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer you must be an expert in CNC Turning as a largepart of the role will be the programming and setting of CNC turning equipment.
Any additional experience with milling would be highly advantageous.Knowledge of lean and continuous improvement techniques would be beneficial as they run a tight ship with astrong focus on improvement.
Aside from programming and setting turning machines you must be able to provide engineering support to the additional production lines, have an excellent understanding of how a machine shop operate and be able to provide trainingand support to the rest of the team.

- Produce process sheets including full component specification
- Programme and set CNC Turning machines
- Ensure that new designs offer both machining and assembly best practice
- Work closely with purchasing to advise on supplier selection
- Schedule work across the machine shop making sure all tools and gauges
- In conjunction with fitters, electricians and supervisors, identify areas of build hour reductions
- At least 3 years experience in a Manufacturing Engineer role in a machine shop environment
- Ability to programme and set a range of CNC Turning equipment
- Excellent organisational and problem solving skills and a logical mind
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build good working relationships at all levels
- Ability to work within time constraints, sometimes under pressure
