Due to expansion we are now currently recruiting for an experienced Professional Sales Administrator and looking for a 'customer centric' experienced sales and administration professional to join our team on a full time basis.
The Role
We have an exciting development opportunity for an out-going professional with experience working to a high level of responsibility within the transport office.
Main accountabilities:
- Take responsibility for all aspects of UK outbound transport including parcels, network and general haulage and van deliveries
- Take responsibility for all aspects of European outbound transport currently Ireland, Norway and the Netherlands
- Enter jobs on to parcel and pallet provider systems
- UK and Europe
- Obtaining rate cards to mainland UK and European hauliers and compare them to ensure best service and costs
- Basic understanding of incoterms, commodity codes and customs processes is essential, however training will be provided
- Ensuring all information required for import and export is available
- Obtaining PODs and ETAs
- Maintaining spreadsheets such as inbound containers and delivery diary.
- Answering inbound calls
- With a view to expand the role to order taking and processing, more involved queries, booking in of stock and inbound transport requirements.
- Liaising with other internal departments such as warehouse and vans.
- Liaising with transport company on collections of outbound deliveries throughout the day and number of pallets shipping daily
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft packages especially Word, Excel and Outlook
- Keen to learn and open to training
- Able to follow instructions
- Time management / ability to prioritise
- Excellent telephone manner and ability to build relationships over the phone and in person.
- Able to communicate at all levels both written and orally
- Positive, team player able to multitask and remain calm
- Uses own initiative and able to work on your own
