Description

Activity and Wellbeing Assistants, Part Time

Salary Range £8,084 - £11,538 for 16 to 20 hrs per week.

About the role

We are seeking to recruit a new team of caring and enthusiastic individuals to be at the forefront of a new service offering for the residents of Addlestone and surrounding areas.

Working alongside partners, such as the Addlestone Community Centre, we aim to introduce a range of activities for services users, which include physical, mental, and social activities, whilst also providing support to some residents who may otherwise feel isolated.

The key duties of this post holder will include assisting service users to access facilities and services when required.

Encouraging services users to engage with others, participate in activities and monitor their wellbeing, whilst being a point of contact whilst in the centre.

Well-developed people skills and previous experience of working with older people would be desirable to support and encourage service users to participate and engage in some of the recreational activities organised at the centre.

The positions are part time and consist of opportunities for both 16 and 20 hours per week roles, covering a flexible weekly schedule.

You will need excellent communication skills both verbal and written, as some administrative duties will also be required.

This post holder will also be required to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check.
