As part of a formal Compliance Transformation Programme, M&G are seeking a seasoned Compliance officer to support and drive the delivery of key work packages.

Key role specific accountabilities

  • Lead, direct and manage individual workstreams on the delivery plan with oversight from Director of Compliance Transformation
  • Engage with colleagues from across Compliance who have been assigned to support workstreams and coordinate overall delivery of the workstream such best use is made of individual skillsets and expertise.
  • Work with the Compliance Transformation programme lead to agree plans, manage dependencies with other workstreams and ensure delivery remains on track.
  • Provide regular programme reporting and delivery updates as directed by the programme lead and their team
  • Support the Director of Compliance Transformation and programme lead on crossprogramme initiatives and activities (e.g. communications, committee papers), as required
  • Provide input and support to other workstreams on the delivery plan, as required.
  • Motivate and lead by example, setting an exemplary standard of personal conduct and integrity.
  • Act as an ambassador for the Compliance Transformation programme across the Compliance function and, in line with the programme's engagement plan, across the wider business.
  • Support the closure of internal audit actions and other relevant actions (e.g. selfidentified issues) to plan
Key knowledge, skills and experience

Technical Competence

  • Seasoned Compliance professional with significant experience working in a 2LOD Compliance function focused on one or more of asset management, life & pensions and wealth. Ideally, experience working across multiple 2LOD Compliance disciplines.
  • In depth understanding of the regulatory framework that underpins the UK in their area of expertise. General knowledge and understanding of global regulatory environments in the jurisdictions where the group operates.
  • Programme delivery and leadership
  • Confident and effective communicator (both written and verbal) across all levels of the organisation, including executive and Csuite levels
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with all levels of stakeholder to build consensus and overcome challenges
  • Strong leadership skills with an ability to motivate, influence and constructively challenge where appropriate.
  • Experience working within a programme structure or engaging with large scale transformation projects / complex programme deliveries.
  • Strong attention to detail with an ability to anticipate, prioritise and resolve complex issues using a variety of problem solving and analytical skills to ensure the business outcome and benefits are realised.
  • Excellent judgement and decision making skills.
  • Industry Knowledge
  • An awareness and understanding of the wider business, economic, regulatory and market environment in which M&G plc operates.
  • Strong understanding of the wider global financial services sector, in particular in relation to relevant competitors and product & services.

Qualifications:


  • Educated to degree level, or equivalent qualifications/experience and/or professional qualification
