Description

My client is looking for a Production Assembler for their busy and growing business based in Berkhamsted. The role essentially involves the assembly of units using drawings and build procedures. Full training will be offered for the right person.

Duties:

Collecting all equipment from stores
Taking precision measurements to ensure perfect fit of components
Assembling units using drawings and training provided
Report issues e. malfunctions or defective parts
Stock checking of parts used
Modify components according to measurements and specification using the lathe
Soldering small wires
Soldering copper tube into fittings
Wiring control boxes using wiring diagrams and training provided
Keeping the work area clean and hazard free
Maintaining equipment to safe standard and in good condition
Transferring built items in test area using trolleys
Work with other team members to meet demand when required
Recording unit type and serial number
Labelling units in the correct manner
Conserve resources and supplies to eliminate undue waste

Qualifications:

Maths and English GCSE levels with good computer skills, a mechanical background is preferred but not essential for this role.

This role pays a basic salary of £22,500 plus bonus (expected £5,000 paid over 2 periods a year) and comes with 22 days holiday rising by 1 day per year up to 5 years
