Location:
Milton Keynes

Hours: 37.5 hours a week.

08:00-16:00hrs

Job Type:
Permanent, full time

The Role:

We are looking for an individual to join our Production Planning team, to ensure the Production plan and schedule is achieved, to meet Customer demands in the most effective way, incorporating continuous improvement at all times.

Along with managing the basic data in the AS400 and to ensure the Bills of Material information is correct, to enable accurate product costing and lead times.

Key Responsibilities:

To monitor the progress of orders to ensure delivery promises are maintained
To register Production delays
Manage and maintain Basic data in the AS400 to allow accurate lead times to the Customer while maintaining up to date product assembly times and Product costings
To attend regular production reviews at the Huddle Board with the production Holon Leaders to discuss and resolve production issues
Schedule and plan the resources and materials with the section Holon Leader
Maintain Customer Forecasts and finished stock availability
Investigate and resolve component shortages and make proposals for stock holding to achieve the production schedule and/or Shikomi
To promote continuous improvement in Production planning and Production assembly

Skills, Experience and Education Requirements:

A material planning qualification or knowledge
Manufacturing experience
The ability to learn Quickly
Willing to go the extra mile
A can do attitude
Enjoys a challenge
Can prioritise and delegate
Able to work within a team, and on their own initiative
Proactive and a forward thinker
A good AS400 (Movex) knowledge
