Community Engagement Officer - Full Time 37 hours

Salary - £24,173 per annum. 12-month fixed term

Rotherham Federation are seeking an experienced Community Engagement Officer to support Rotherham communities to grow and develop and engage with and build the confidence of local people, supporting them represent themselves and their communities.

Duties and Responsibilities

Work alongside our community delivery team to support and mentor volunteers and community leaders.
To support the empowerment of underrepresented groups within local communities, enhancing community cohesion and collaborative working.
To engage with council tenants from underrepresented groups and support them to have a say on the things that matter to them.
To establish regular ongoing communitybased group sessions for tenants from underrepresented groups, enabling RotherFed and council staff to receive feedback on housing services.
Promote volunteering with underrepresented groups through training, mentoring and confidence building.
Help organise profileraising events to attract new volunteers.
To work and report on specific targets and outputs as determined by funding requirements.
To develop and maintain administrative systems.
To be responsible for updating the database and other recording systems as appropriate, ensuring project outcome and outputs are captured.
