Employment Support Officer:


Due to the growth of our service, we are looking to recruit an
Employment Support Officer to work in one of our co-located teams within Improved Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT).

The Employment Advisor (EA) in IAPT project is a holistic support service that provides integrated psychological and employment support to enable people to stay in or take up work.

The successful applicant will deliver high quality employment support, alongside IAPT clinicians who will deliver CBT based therapy.

You will be delivering employment support to people with common mental health conditions, who are either;

  • In work but struggling;
  • In work but off sick/suspended from work; or
  • Out of work.
Key elements of the support you will provide will include Vocational Profiling and identifying individual support interventions required which will inform action planning, outlining choices for the future in relation to participation in short, medium


We are looking for skilled, proactive and flexible individuals who will really make a difference to adults employment needs and support them to progress in their lives.

You will offer 1-2-1 support to adults across the South Cheshire and Vale Royal area, initially working from home full time, with a view to working within IAPT service settings across the area when appropriate.

The EAs in IAPT delivery model has been designed as an integrated service that brings together employment advice and support with IAPT provision.

Therapists and EAs are expected to work collaboratively to deliver a personalised service to clients based on their individual needs.


The contractual work location for this role is listed above however you may be required to work from a range of work locations or sites within the Borough and may also be required to work from home, depending on the needs of the service.
