Position Summary:
The Business Account Executive position is a key contributor in delivering profitable growth for Energizer.

The BAE plays a critical role in the seeking of new business and the managing of existing business for the Global Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) & Hearing Aid Battery (HAB) Professional team.

This includes developing key customer relationships and driving the business by strategically identifying and addressing opportunities of revenue, growth, profit, product distribution, merchandising, pricing, and promotion.

The BAE will also work cross functionally with internal teams to achieve stated business objectives.


Responsibilities:


  • Own, manage and deliver the P&L for the specific scope of responsibility (sustainable, profitable business)
  • Develop and execute annual business plans that efficiently achieves customer & Energizer goals/objectives
  • Communicate industry and competitor developments and recommend adjustments in business plan and tactics to aggressively respond to changes, lead response execution
  • Communicate regularly with all stakeholders, both internal (ENR) and external (customer)
  • Partner closely with Sr. Business Account Manager to serve as a catalyst for improvement and sharing of new/innovative practices which can be shared across the team.
  • Leverage all relevant business tools available, including CRM, as a key enabler of transparency, call routine, and result monitoring.
  • Engage with Sales team members across channels to manage conflict (e.g. pricing, distribution, 3P, etc.)
  • Develop sales strategies to draw in potential OEM / HAB Pro buyers and solicit new potential customers.
  • Initiate contact with potential OEM/ HAB Pro customers through selfgenerated leads or inquires generated through marketing, social media or advertising.
  • Create relationships with customers to identify their potential needs and qualify their interests and viability to drive Energizer OEM/ HAB Pro sales.
  • Present product information to customers after identifying their business needs.
  • Perform regular followup calls and facilitate communication with existing customers to ensure their satisfaction and identify new potential needs.
  • Collaborating across the OEM / HAB Pro Commercial team to ensure the company's goals and targets are met.
Customer development

  • For Modern Markets major accounts (within set portfolio TBC), develop and implement strategies that will lead to growth while maintaining the base business. Specifically, identify major opportunities in distribution and lead the team in prospecting/winning new accounts through direct sales activities. Bring focus on priorities amongst all geographical customers
  • Act as a Champion of Change internally and externally to drive growth
  • Collect data from external sources, review outcomes, and capture lessons learned into future plans
  • Manage trade terms and pricing / promotions
  • Actively ensure steering and budgeting of trade allowances and oversee the management of invoicing and deduction approvals. Forecasting
  • Develop an accurate sales forecast (key drive customers); maintain effective communication with Customer Service, Supply/Demand Planning, and Brand teams to deliver agreed sales and operation planning targets
  • Manage the activities of the team assigned
  • Review the development & management of geographical Annual Business Plan and execution. Manage daily /weekly/monthly reporting and recommendations to deliver expected sales and gross margin plan
  • Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
  • Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, and merchandising techniques.
  • Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
  • Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops,
