Orchard Professional Solutions Ltd are working with experienced companies based in York area our clients are looking for experienced CNC operator


Requirements:


  • Working as part of a team on either an early or later shift to the weekly Production and Machine Shop plans to complete the following tasks:
  • Cuts and shapes metals, (aluminium, brass and copper,) using a variety of Heidenhain CNC machines

Tasks include:

  • Interpreting instructions and procedures to Interpreting instructions and procedures to machine and manufacture required parts.
  • Performing proper setup and calibration procedures for all equipment and accessories.
  • Completing machine warmup.
  • Inspection of parts left within the machine.wwereere
  • Maintenance and prestart checks.
  • Completion of agreed tasks in line with the weekly plan up to and including "lights out.
  • Checking first off on floor.

The person:


  • Fault finding, highlighting and where able resolving product issues and errors ensuring quality standards are maintained.
  • Maintaining your equipment, materials and work area, ensuring it is always clean, safe and organised.
  • Completing required paperwork and updating data systems to provide accurate records of completed tasks.
  • Driving a continuous improvement ethos through own actions and contributions, maintaining and improving service delivery.
  • Working with and supporting other team members and deputising if required.
  • Positively present the role of CNC Operator, completing required training activities to meet job role and business requirements and personal competency.
