We need individuals who are passionate and enthusiastic to influence future smartphone and tablet solutions, extracting the maximum performance and power efficiency from the latest process and packaging technologies.
This position is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated system architect to be a catalyst on the early analysis and exploration of promising future technologies in the Central engineering Technology Group, and effectively influence the future ofArm based products and architectures.
Responsibilities:
Your job responsibilities will be diverse and may include architecture, technology research, hands-on prototyping, and experimental investigations. In addition, you will interact with product engineering teams, and engage in partner and customer engagementswhere appropriate
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Design and develop system performance architectures for products and test chips in new and existing markets
- Design experiments and conduct/drive analysis to extract the highest performance potential from future presilicon system designs covering system caches, coherency, quality of service and other architectural topics
- Develop hardware and/or software specifications/prototypes that enable performance analysis on software and hardware platforms
- Understand and analyse systemlevel architectural tradeoffs (including hardware, memory systems, and system software).
- Collaborate with system and software architects to influence design decisions.
- Collaborate with engineering IP teams to see your design incorporated and delivered into products.
- Communicate results and technical concepts with appropriate collateral, clearly and credibly.
- Delivery of results including being persistent, pragmatic, globally aware, ethically strong, are relevant measurements of success in this role. You will contribute in a performant engineeringfocused environment in a field that is at the forefront of newtechnology in the industry.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor of Science degree in EE/ECE/CE/CS or related field required
- Broad experience in SoC design, and the challenges involved in integrating IP and analysing systemlevel performance and behaviour.
- Ability to quantify and make tradeoffs between power, performance, and area appropriately to meet the requirements of the product.
- Sound knowledge of how hardware and software work together in a system. Basic understanding of system/embedded software is a must, and
- Track record in smartphone/tablet SoC Architecture or related work experience in design or system analysis. Experience should include System IPs.
- Ability to translate highly technical concepts into practical plans.
