A dedicated, passionate and hardworking individual to join the planning team in Preston. The individual must be a strong self-starter capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
Transport Planner
- Location Preston full time_
The Planning team in Preston cover transport schedules for eight different ForFarmers fleets across the country.
You will be responsible for working with this team to help develop cost effective, efficient plans that deliver the maximum customer OTIF scores.
You will communicate with transport and production teams across the country to ensure the most accurate schedules are produced.Tasks and responsibilities as a Transport Planner:
- Produce transport plans that deliver customers OTIF service
- Issue schedule reports to relevant transport and production teams
- Liaise with transport managers to ensure schedule accuracy
- Manage data to ensure consistency and accuracy
Your CV shows:
- Excellent communication skills
- Previous experience in a transport/planning environment
- A good level of IT skills
- Geographic knowledge of the United Kingdom
- Be able to work to a deadline
- Have a strong sense of customer service
- Valid UK driver's license
- Paragon experience (preferred, not essential)
- SAP experience (preferred, not essential)
Able to work in a high pressure environment while maintaining the highest standards? Comfortable communicating with people from different parts of the business.
