Summary

Holly Grove school is a primary school years) for pupils with generic learning difficulties.

The governing board is looking to appoint a receptionist who will support the school by providing efficient and professional receptionist duties and general administrative support as and when required.

You will be the first point of contact for visitors to the school and must give a good first impression of Holly Grove.

You will be polite, friendly but professional at all times.

The primary duties will include greeting parents/carers and other visitors when they arrive, providing direction and assistance and ensure security & safeguarding protocols are followed.

You will answer the phone quickly, efficiently and in a friendly but professional manner.


Including:

  • A polite and friendly manner with a polite telephone voice.
  • The ability to communicate at all levels, orally and written.
  • The ability to relate well to both adults and children
  • Good customer service skills
  • Excellent ICT skills including a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
  • An excellent understanding of confidentiality
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to plan ahead and prioritise own workload
  • Ability to be flexible and work as part of a team
  • An understanding of safeguarding in schools
  • A knowledge of GDPR

Essential Qualifications

GCSE English and maths at grade c or above or equivalent
