The Governors are looking to appoint an apprentice Teaching Assistant to join our extremely valuable teaching support team. Teaching assistants, in the main, are part of a tutor group team and support their pupils across the curriculum.

The hours are Part time, 35 Hours per week, term time, plus 1 week and 5 inset days. The Contract will be fixed term until the end of the apprenticeship, in the first instance (18 months).

Applications are welcome from people who have the desire, skills and dedication to work in this field, but do not have the qualifications to do so.

Alongside working as a Teaching Assistant within the school you would be supported to complete a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship through a respected national provider.

The current post is to support across the secondary phase.

Please note TAs do not always work within the same phase and need to be confident to work across the school depending on the needs of the school at the time.

Our pupils are working in the main between Year 3 and Year 7 Age Related Expectations (within the secondary phase).

However, a significant number of our pupils do study some GCSEs at KS4 as well a range of other accreditations.

In carrying out their duties and responsibilities effectively, teaching support staff will provide high quality support for pupils, teachers, the curriculum and the school.
