HR & Training Support Officer

(Learning Disabilities; Supported Living)

Salary:
FT £ / PA


Hours:
Office based in Milton Keynes working 5 days per week 37.5 Hours.


Are you keen to make a positive contribution to lives of adults with learning disabilities and autism?


We are looking for a HR and Training Support Officer, this is a new post within the Human Resources and training team.

The role is people focussed but you will also need strong administrative skills, including occasional minute taking, filing and data entry and ideally have relevant CIPD training to level 3 in HR Administration, you will be a creative thinker who seeks solutions to problems.

You will be working for a charity that provides holistic person-centred support for adults with learning disabilities and autism.

They support their residents in all aspects of their daily lives and believe that each person should be appreciated and accepted for their unique abilities.


Your duties include:

  • Supporting our Learning and development and HR activity,
  • Negotiating training courses, and for some in house courses delivering training to our staff team and resident group.
  • Working in partnership with the HR and Training manager you will support our care, workshops and central support teams to ensure that all recruitment and training activity is accurately recorded and processed.
  • Supporting our monthly payroll facilities, you will record and monitor sickness absence and additional hours.
  • Ensure staff are provided with the right support at the right time to carry out their duties
  • Liaise with external agencies to process payment and resolve any issues of concern.

About you:


You will have the capacity to work independently to achieve deadlines and targets, sometimes in a busy environment with competing priorities.

An awareness of the needs of people with learning disabilities and autism is desirable but a willingness to learn and an acceptance of difference perhaps more important.
