CAMHS Practitioner, Band 6 Full-Time (WTE 1.0) in Emotional & Behavioural Team (E&B), Luton CAMHS

(Community Mental Health Nurse, Family Therapy Practitioner, Clinical Associate Psychologist, Social Worker, Child Psychotherapist, Creative Arts Therapist, Occupational Therapist, BACP accredited counsellor).


We have an exciting opportunity for a confident CAMHS professional with a demonstrable track record of providing good quality evidence based interventions and improving service quality to join our Emotional and Behavioural (E&B) pathway within Luton Specialist CAMHS.

You will be either a Community Mental Health Nurse, Social worker, Occupational Therapist, Psychotherapist, Accredited counsellor or Associate Psychologist with the requisite professional registration.

We are looking for a dynamic and organised professional to deliver evidence based treatments to Luton children and young people and the system around them.

The role will encompass clinical, professional and developmental aspects, requiring the post holder to work in close collaboration with multi-disciplinary colleagues.

The successful post holder will provide assessment, formulation and evidence based therapeutic intervention to children, young people and families accessing the service.

We are looking for practitioners with strong core clinical skills in child and adolescent mental health and additional training and experience in providing evidence based therapeutic interventions such as CBT, DBT or IPT-A.

The post holder will have access to clinical supervision and will be well supported within a multidisciplinary team.

The post holder may contribute to the Clinician of the Day (COD) rota and work in liaison with other clinicians in other specialist CAMHS pathways and multi-agency settings.
