West London NHS Trust provides a full range of mental health, community and physical healthcare services for children, adults and older people living in the London boroughs of Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham and Hounslow.
We also provide some specialist services that are commissioned regionally, such as our medium and low secure Forensic Service.
The Forensic Service Referrals and Bed Management Team is a small dynamic team that provides a referrals and bed management service for the Forensic Inpatient Services.
We work closely with our commissioners, North London Forensic Collaborative (NLFC), which is formed of the secure services of five mental Health Trusts; which includes West London NHS Trust.
We are now recruiting to a new full time (37.5 hours p/wk) Band 4 Referrals and Bed Management Administrator. This post will provide a comprehensive day to day administrative support for referrals and bed management.
Work closely with the Referrals and Bed Manager by actively ensuring all referrals, admissions, transfers and discharges within the Forensic Service are dealt with within the agreed timescales.
Provide accurate patient movement/occupancy information to the Business Information Analyst on a monthly basis and accurate bed occupancy/patient movement information on a daily/weekly/monthly basis to the Deputy Head of Business Management and Business Information Analyst
Excellent communication skills are required as there will be times where you will be required to liaise with referrers when covering for the Referrals and Bed Manager

- Provide a comprehensive day to day administrative support for referrals and bed management, ensuring all referrals, admissions, transfers and discharges within the Forensic Service are dealt with within the agreed timescale
- Ensure prompt recording of referrals, admissions, transfers and discharges on RiO update the Referrals Database as soon as referral is received and CCG checks carried out for suitabilit
- Ensure all referral documents are uploaded onto Alfresco as soon as they are received. Prior to admission all documents should be uploaded and are available to relevant teams
- Inform all internal departments of admissions, discharges, transfers that have taken place within the working day, ensuring the discharge destination address is recorded accurately on RiO
