Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

  • To give support to the warehouse Coordinators by ensuring that the targets and standards of the operation are met. They will also manage the section in Coordinators absence
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Prioritise and delegate tasks to team members based on work flow.
  • Motivate team to achieve individual and department targets.
  • Maintain shift records including attendance file and crew sheets.
  • Using the Labour Management system, ensure all team members are clocked in and any approvals are completed.
  • Order and maintain consumables required for department.
  • Assist the coordinator to maintain department holidays and sickness levels within policy and keep accurate records.
  • Support the coordinator and team to maintain and improve department standards including, Lean, 6s, SOP's, Health & Safety and security.
  • Support and mentor new employees or temporary employees, including correct use of the LM tool, SOP adherence and Lean 6s principles.
  • Support the coordinator with team building, people development and 121's.
  • Implement all management decisions
  • Maintain good levels of communication up, down and across.

  • Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
  • Experience in warehousing and distribution within a FMCG company.
  • Excellent knowledge of warehouse processes and systems
  • Good organisational skills
  • Good communication skills
