PRACTICE ACCOUNTANT
Rare opportunity for an
ambitious part-qualified practice accountant seeking study support to qualify through ACCA / CIMA.
Our client a friendly boutique practice based in modern offices in the West End. The key purpose of the role is assisting with a portfolio of professional, creative and financial services clients.
Working within a friendly and positive team of six, you will learn all aspects of accounting including looking after your portfolio of clients, in the office and on-site at clients' offices as you progress.
As you gain experience and study towards your ACCA / CIMA qualification, you will receive ongoing training enabling you to develop as a business advisor tax accountant.

The Role of the ACCA / CIMA part-qualified practice accountant
To assist with our portfolio of professional, creative and financial services clients working from our small office in the West End with some time spent on-site at client offices.
Duties will include:
- Checking the automated processing of purchase ledger invoices and expenses through Dext to correctly publishing in Cloud Accounting Systems; e.g. QuickBooks Online, Xero.
- Raising Sales invoices and recharges of expenses.
- Matching or posting transactions from automated bank feeds of payments and receipts to Bank reconciliation.
- Liaising with clients and their suppliers and customers/debtors.
- Assisting with general ledger account reconciliations to preparing/posting journals.
- Assisting in preparation of monthly management accounts and dashboards.
- Assisting with preparation of VAT Returns, payroll, pensions and other HMRC compliance activities.
- Assisting with client specific reporting requirements, e.g. project costing, trading reconciliations, commission reports
- Undertaking ad hoc accounting, client and practice administration work as required.
Person specification for the ACCA / CIMA part-qualified practice accountant
- AAT studier or early stages of ACCA / CIMA studies and experience in practice
- Good secondary achievements
- Excellent written and verbal communication with a customer service focus
- Highly computer literate e.g. Excel, and MS office tools
- Excellent problem solving/judgment skills, and high level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Prior experience with SME's an advantage along with a desire to learn and use new technology and develop commercial business skills.
- Ability to cope with and enjoy learning different business sectors, systems and procedures
